So Glad to Hear that Money Mayweather is Back? And More

First of all I am so glad to hear that Money Mayweather is back!! Secondly, I have to agree with him that he is the #1 pound for pound top fighter. Simply because as he said, no one has ever beaten him. Marquez is good but Pacquiao put him on his ass, Pacquiao is good but he couldn't finish off Marquez. Lately it seems that myself and a few others can see this, why do you think that others do not see this? America please wake up!!! Floyd is the best pound for pound hands down. Stevie, Fairmont, MN

Stevie, your last name wouldn't happen to be Wonder would it? Just playing with you my man, I respect your opinion and others opinion that share yours as well. The thing is this, whenever I do come across someone who feels the same as you do on this subject, I ask them why is Floyd still #1? The answer that I get 9 times out of 10 is because he has never lost. Well Rocky Marciano never lost, does that make him the best pound for pound heavyweight ever? Better yet, how about this, Joe Calzaghe never lost so if Joe comes back would Joe be 1-A or 1-B? I am a strong believer that you are only as good as the competition you face. Floyd can not be number 1, and I'll tell you why, for one Floyd would like for us to all believe that time stood still while he was on his ''Temporary Leave''. Well guess what? Time didn't stand still, and in Floyd's absence the Manny Pacquiao storm was ripping through the boxing world jumping from lower weight classes to higher weight classes with a fury not seen in decades. We can not sit here and pretend that the Pacquiao Typhoon didn't happen, the debris left behind is there crystal clear. Another thing to note, is that while Pacquiao has been looking up the scales at bigger foes to face, Floyd has been looking down the scales at smaller foes to face, to me that speaks volumes.

Albert, do you honestly think that Clottey really has a chance against Cotto? You have got to be kidding me. Just look at how great Cotto looked against Jennings, sensational. Clottey will not only lose, but he will get stopped rather quickly, like by the 5th round. Benny Boriqua

Benny, we are talking about Clottey here, as in Joshua Clottey not his brother Emmanuel. If you think Clottey has no shot at all, either A- you have never seen Clottey box, or B- you have him mistaken for his brother, Emmanuel Clottey who by the way also boxes but is nowhere near the beast that his brother Joshua is. Benny, you are right, Cotto did look great against Jennings, but the only problem with that is a bigger problem, and that is that Jennings is no Joshua Clottey, that's for damn sure.

Dawson is a fraud, no other way to put it. He let a 40 year old man hang in there with him, he has no excuse what so ever. Dawson should have taken him out. I think Dawson needs to fight Hopkins and really show us what he can do, what do you think? Trevor, Palm Springs

Trevor, For starters, I don't see Dawson/Hopkins happening. Hopkins will want the lion's share in this one and you know what? Hopkins deserves it. Hopkins has paid his dues. Problem is that I don't see Dawson’s promoter, Gary Shaw allowing for that to happen. You are 100% right, Dawson should have knocked Tarver out, I mean why aren't these fighters seeing that this is the Boxing after Oscar Era. Right now the major networks are looking for someone to really put up to become the next attraction, a knockout of Tarver would have made Bad Chad a major player. The only fighters that seem to realize that this is the Boxing After Oscar era are, Manny Pacquiao by fighting the best and performing like a monster, and Floyd Mayweather Jr., sure Floyd is facing smaller fighters that he knows he can beat, but from a business standpoint, Floyd gets it and realizes what is on the line. I feel that Chad must now risk it and go down to 168 for smaller yet bigger fish to fry, like Kessler, Bute, Allan Green, Froch, and even Taylor. At 175, Dawson's only real big fight is to land Hopkins or to bring Super Joe back, I don't see either of those things happening. Only fight at 175 that would be great to see, would be Chad Dawson versus Tavoris Cloud, the problem with that is that Cloud is not yet a big enough name.

Hey Al, who do you have in the Andre Ward/ Edison Miranda fight? And, who do you think Hatton should fight next? Jimmy, Phoenix, Az

Jimmy, I have got to say that I am leaning towards Miranda in this one. Ward, however may just have enough speed to change my mind come fight night. The reasons why I favor Miranda now, is because #1-Miranda has the experience, and #2- that power, oh boy, that power, if Miranda lands flush it could very well spell doom for Ward. As I mentioned before, Wards speed and intelligence may change all that, should be a good fight, and a big test for Ward. I wonder if Miranda knows that he is being used as a lie detector test? If Hatton does in fact decide to go on, Hatton should look to face Katsidis. Wow, imagine that brawl, it's the kind of exciting fight that can make Hatton feel it once again. Not to take anything away from Katsidis, who by the way I love to see since he is never ever in a boring fight, but if Hatton can not beat Katsidis then Hatton should at that time hang up the gloves and call it a career.
